About Homer

Passed on December 1, 2014

Homer was something special. We adopted him when he was 18 months old and it was love at first sight. He loved his red Kong bone, eating, car rides, naps, but most of all keeping us company on the couch while relaxing after work. Everyone that met him found him to be a delight. He always greeted people happily and you could tell that he liked you because his whole butt would shake.

When he was about six years old he had his first bought of pancreatitis. He had several more attacks over the years and we did everything we could to keep his diet in line so that he was healthy. We did a great job for four years, but over Thanksgiving he got sick again and we found out that he had a large mass growing in his intestines. We made the decision to put him to sleep that day. Our hearts were shattered, but we know that we made the right decision. He was about a month shy of his tenth birthday.

Our house is really lonely without Homer! Mom and dad miss you dearly! You will never be forgotten!
