You Were My Favorite Hello and My Hardest Goodbye.
A little over 10 years ago, I brought home a shy, but feisty little 8-week-old puppy and my life changed forever. Last night my life changed again when I had to say goodbye to my sweet little girl. Olive passed away peacefully in my arms last night. I never knew pain like this existed. A piece of my heart and soul are now gone. She was my best friend. I can't imagine what life is going to be like without her and quite frankly it's not something I want to find out. She was the sweetest, most loving, and caring dog I have ever met. Olive was always happy, bouncy, and full of energy. We were inseparable and joined at the hip. She was my constant shadow.

The only comfort I have is knowing that she is no longer in pain and that I loved her with every piece of my heart. This was the hardest and most excruciating decision I have ever had to make. I know she is at peace and this was the best thing for her, no matter how awful it is for Oscar and myself.

Each day will get a little easier and some days will be good, and others will be unbearable. I cherish every second I had with my little Olive and she will always be a part of me. I look forward to the day we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.
