About Mick Hermel

Passed on December 7, 2020

On December 7, 2020 my beloved Mini Australian Shepherd, Mick, unexpectedly passed away in the comfort of our home in my arms.

After battling an unknown illness which fluctuated over a few short weeks, Mick was given relief as he crossed the rainbow bridge shortly after his 6th birthday.

Mick was the happiest dog you’d ever meet. He wanted to meet everyone and thought they should give him ear scratches. He was excited about everything and just wanted to be included. He didn’t care whether it was going on a road trip or just watching a movie. He was happy to be there. In his world everything could be fix with kisses and snuggles and everything else should be celebrated with butt scratches and a joyous prance.

I will miss my welcome home parties everytime I come through the door. Even if I was gone for just a moment getting the mail. I’ll miss my little shadow, wherever I go you go. I’ll miss our walks at the dog park and around the neighborhood, even if it was too cold to be out for long. I’ll miss the barks and the snuggles and the kisses and the Aussie C-runs. I will miss everything about him.

I’ll cherish our time together my precious sweet boy. Wherever you are I hope you’re herding, running around like crazy, and eating all sorts of yummy treats.

If you’d like to honor Mick’s life, please consider donating to your local animal shelter or other pet organization. Helping to make another pet’s life happier is a great way to celebrate what a happy, bright light Mick was.
