About Ginger Braun

Passed on June 3, 2021

One week ago we had to say goodbye to our very special Ginger. After 6 months of strange health issues and us thinking we finally got her back on track, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her shoulder and surrounding tissue. The wild and crazy, sweet and gentle, fun and boisterous, loving and sensitive, the half sister to Nellie and an all around great dog. All you hope for in a dog. She had a huge presence with both her size and her special excited whine/growl/bugling sounds she made when it was time for a walk, to go bye bye and when we came home from being out. She was a constant companion to Nellie and me. She was in my studio with me daily and when Nellie chose not to go in, Ginge made sure momma didn’t go alone. We’ve had so many awesome travels from our many trips to Northern MN, WI, CO, NE, WY, SD, MI with many more planned. Tears are falling constantly around here and life without her is so hard. We humans know we will get through with time but Nellie doesn’t know and she lays in the grass where Ginger died and she lays on her bed next to her ashes everyday. We have loved every one of our danes but this loss hits especially hard. 7 years old and leaving her 9 year old sister behind.
