About Bella Marie Swenson

Passed on June 29, 2023

Our beloved Bella Marie Swenson crossed the Rainbow Bridge into her Grandma’s arms on June 29, 2023.  What began as a trip to Dr. Groth’s office with Bella, Sam, Frank and Elowen for their annual physicals ended in tragedy when Bella suddenly collapsed. Her heart stopped twice and when it was clear love couldn’t save her, we decided to let her go to her Grandma, and her brother Max.

Bella was born on March 3, 2010.   Carol adopted Bella from the Animal Humane Society, in August 2010, when she was 5 months old, and weighed 5 lbs. From day one, Bella was the center of our universe, because she was a tiny girl with a huge sweet, smart and loving personality, who loved her people, and dog brothers and sisters.  Bella loved to give tongue lashings, huggling (a Bella combination of cuddling and hugging), sleeping late, Bark Box unboxing day, YappleNanas treats, car rides, and carriage rides in her stroller. Everyone who met Bella was attracted to her sweet and loving personality. People we would pass each day on our walks all wanted to say hello to Bella first, and then her brothers.

Bella and her Grandma were inseparable, spending each day cuddled together with Grandma giving Bella countless pets. In fact, at one point Bella had a little bald spot on the top of her head from all of the pets Grandma gave her. Grandma passed at home on May 11, 2023 with Bella at her side. Bella missed her Grandma so much even though we tried to stand in for Grandma and give her all of the cuddle time and petting she deserved.  We are convinced Bella wanted to be with her Grandma, and it gives us some comfort to know they are together again.

Bella is survived by her Mom, Carol, Aunt Deb, and her brothers, Samurai and Frank, and sister, Elowen. Bella took a piece of each of our hearts as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but she left a piece of her heart with each of us, so she may live on in our hearts, until the day each of us crosses the Rainbow Bridge, and we are together with Bella once more.  We love you so very much Bella, now and forever.
