About Grizzlee Bear Stethem

Passed on May 26, 2023

I said goodbye to Grizzlee Bear on May 26th. Some things about Grizzlee Bear are that his favorite toys were q tips, Christmas tree bulbs and ice cubes. He would sit on my feet while I would put on my makeup and would practically jump when I turned the lights out at night so he could snuggle. He was also the best snapchat buddy and we have more pictures than I care to admit. He loved his fur sisters Gracie and Cali, and just wanted to be close to them. His last few months he finally learned about sunbathing and would soak up the afternoon sun on his favorite chair. He had a crispy treat addiction and could hear me opening the bag from anywhere in the house.

Grizzlee Bear had many health issues and eventually his body failed him. He was so strong and courageous even when he struggled to walk and lost the ability to do many of the things a kitty enjoys doing. I loved helping him and he appreciated the help but eventually the struggle was too much for him. With a terminal illness and no chance of getting better, I decided to let him go with dignity.

He had just turned four in April. I am heartbroken that we only had four years with him, but I am so grateful that we had four years with him.

Grizzlee Bear – I know you are running, jumping, and playing with the animals that have gone before you. I love you and miss you. Your sisters love you and miss you. The house is so quiet, it’s just not the same without you. Thank you for being my best buddy.
