About “Josh” ~ GCH Canabre’s You Raise Me Up

Passed on October 13, 2026

July 7, 2012 – October 13, 2026

I was right there the day your mom delivered you into this world and stayed with you for 14+ years until your last breath. You were the “Baby Huey” puppy of your litter, always wanting to sit in my lap rather than romp & play with your littermates. You became a beautiful show dog, always giving 100%. You were such a love to bathe and groom. You were not much for toys but loved your chew bones; you loved visiting the neighbors, especially Grandma Ann & Grandpa Gary along with Mary & Colleen.  Everyone loved you, including every kid that came your way – they all asked to pet you, and you loved it. Going to the Dairy Queen will never be quite the same. You were my prewash for the dirty dishes in the dishwasher every time the door was open.  All your silly little quirks….

Since you left for the Rainbow Bridge, the house is too quiet. I can’t hear your paws on the floor following me around. You’re not at the door to greet me when I get home. You’re not looking out the door when I am working outside. The neighbors all ask where you are when I go on our favorite walks, which still brings tears to my eyes. But the hardest part of my day is going to bed without you every night; I reach over to pet you, and you aren’t there…

Joshy, you were such a gentle soul, and your time to say goodbye came much sooner than I ever wanted it to be….  I will miss and cherish your unconditional love for the rest of my life.

Until my time comes for heaven, run free with your mom and sisters.  Every night when the stars are out, I look for the brightest ones, because I know those are your soft, beautiful eyes looking back at me. I miss you with every piece of my heart, my Bubby Boy. ❤️
