Mercedes (Momo) Drelling was more than just a cat. She was a companion, a best friend, and a snuggle buddy to us for 18 long and wonderful years. She loved to lay in any open window and her favorite room in the house was the back porch where she would spend countless hours lounging in the warmth of the sun. Mercedes loved to snuggle under blankets. She was the epitome of goodness and loved her brushes, as well as demanding bites of bacon. If she wanted pets she would reach out her paw to you to let you know. She also loved to lay on top of her humans and lick their noses.

Mercedes was born in rural, central Minnesota. I (her human mom) knew from the moment I saw her in the litter of kittens that she was the one. We had an immediate bond. Mercedes started her life as an indoor/outdoor cat and had quite a few litters of kittens in her youth. Her daughter, Tillie, still resides in central Minnesota. She loved to bring me “presents” (dead animals) when she returned from her outdoor adventures. In 2014, she moved to the big city of Minneapolis to be with me where she would spend countless hours laying in the open window of our uptown apartment. She eventually adopted my husband as her dad. In 2019 we moved into our first house together as a family. Later on, Mercedes would be joined by Klaus (dog brother) and Koko (cat sister). Mercedes was the queen of the household and was the rock in our family.

She is deeply missed. She will forever be in our hearts.

Mercedes, we will love you always.

Love,

Your Mom (Em), Dad (Mike), Klaus, & Koko
