Willie

Willie: 12/03/2013- 07/09/2023

 

Our beloved  Willie crossed the rainbow bridge on July 9th, 2023 after a sudden and short illness.  We adopted/rescued him on February 15th 2020 from Molly’s Pet Place when he was 6 1/2 years old.  We had him for a very short time, but he touch our hearts from day ONE!  We say he chose us, when he casually walked up to Sean at the shelter.  Sean’s first words after that interaction were “I think this dude is cool.”

 

From the very beginning Willie was very chill and fit in well with our family.  He would spend most days lounging on “his” couch or basking in the sun, which he would follow from the patio door in the morning to the front door in the afternoon.

 

He would get excited when the door bell rang and always thought it was for him.  Willie also thought every delivered package was for him and had no delay in trying to tear open every box even if it wasn’t food.  The Fed Ex driver would regularly leave a treat on our boxes for him.

 

His favorite things were eating, playing with his stuffed squeaky toys, ice cream, car rides, listening to Taylor Swift music with Claire, chasing rabbits and squirrels.  Willie did not like fireworks or thunderstorms

 

Willie “You were the BEST BOY!” and we will miss you.
